Extreme Dirt Track Season Gets Under Way May 6
The 2006 Extreme Dirt Track ATVA Nationals (EDT) kick off at Bullet Speedway in Brashear, Texas, on May 6.
Bullet Speedway, one of the racers' favorite tracks, has been move up in the schedule to help stay out of hurricane season.
New for 2006, Honda has stepped up its support of dirt-track racing. Honda racers can earn Red Rider Rewards
at all eight rounds of the EDT series.
Meanwhile, promoter and race dad Terry Reynolds is planning for a big turn out at the season opener.
"The track will be basically the same as last year, with a few minor changes here and there'" Reynolds said. "This will be the third year on the National series for Bullet Speedway and this will be an exciting track to kick off the season."
The gates open at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 4. Sign-up will open at 2 p.m. Practice is set for 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 5, under the lights.
Saturday, May 6, features practice starting at 8 a.m. with heats and mains to follow. Pro and Pro-Am practice
is at 5:30 p.m. Pro and Pro-Am heats will start at 7 p.m. All racing is scheduled for Saturday. Sunday, May 7, is reserved
as a rain date.
